I had the pleasure of giving another talk at my local camera club last week. The subject was black and white photography.
Since I always like to give context to any topic, the materials included some history, some terminology, and ways to think about colour and tone as separate elements of a photograph. Included are some of my favourite black and white images – sadly, not mine. But some of mine are there too. Of course, there was the practical stuff as well, such as when to consider black and white.
